Proxy Policy:
Reserved list proxies are legal for this event. The guidelines on proxies are as follows:
Proxies will only be allowed for cards that are currently on the Wizards of the Coast’s reserved list. We will not allow you to proxy a Spell Pierce for your deck. The purpose of this rule is to lesson the barrier to entry but we still want to maintain the highest integrity standard we can. Proxies should not be used as a form of gamesmanship to try and confuse opponents, and gain an advantage in the game itself. A proxy, for the purposes of the Oklahoma Land Run, can be one of the following:
- Is a legal Magic: the Gathering card that has had certain information either blanked out (i.e. with acetone), or has had certain information blacked out (with black Sharpie). Strongly consider using MDFC helper cards as your proxies! They are among the best options available!
- Is an official Oklahoma Land Run proxy. These cards were given out in previous events and say “For Oklahoma Land Run use only.”
- International, Collector’s and MTG 30 Edition cards are acceptable for this event.
- Cards such as artist tokens of power nine and other popular cards may be accepted only if the thickness and size of the cards matches that of an official MTG card. There should be zero marked card issues due to the size, weight or thickness of a proxy.
All information of the proxied card must be recorded, and easily legible. It should always be clear, to you, your opponent, and the judge staff, what your proxies are. Using obscure art or poorly written proxies will not be accepted, as it will create confusion. Printouts, either those that have been glued to Magic cards, or those that are inserted into sleeves, are marked cards, and will not be legal proxies for this event. If you have questions about your proxies, contact the head judge before the start of round one. Take pride in your proxies
